About Pacifica Music Academy

Our Mission - Music with a Purpose

The Pacifica Music Academy believes that well-grounded fundamentals established during the early stages of learning provide the platform for excellence in the future.

Our Academy aims to develop both physical and mental qualities of the student by instilling discipline, perseverance and concentration, while integrating the technical aspects of playing their instrument.  We seek to bring our American-based training to Singapore to nurture the future generation in a wholesome, exciting and encouraging way.

Our Academy strongly advocates a spirit of compassion.  All students are given opportunities to engage in community performances from a young age.  Through these first-hand experiences, we help students foster a greater love for people and a desire to connect with society through the power of music.

Methodology

The Academy utilises a unique teaching approach, derived from the established philosophies and methods of Suzuki, Rolland, Kodály and Zweig.  This approach is further complemented with our personal musical training, which can be traced to the performance and pedagogy lineages of Leopold Auer, Ivan Galamian, Otakar Ševčik and Leonid Kogan.
